Example

A 2-team 6-point NFL teaser at -110 (decimal 1.909). Break-even per leg = (1/1.909)^(1/2) = 72.4%. That means each leg needs to win 72.4% of the time. Standard -110 ATS lines only win about 52.4%, so a teaser that crosses 3 and 7 on both legs is needed to push the win rate high enough.

What is a teaser bet?
A teaser lets you move the point spread or total in your favor by a fixed number of points in exchange for a lower payout. All legs must still win, just like a parlay. The extra points make each leg easier to win, but the reduced payout means you need to win more often to profit.
Are teasers profitable?
Most teasers are losing bets due to vig. However, "Wong teasers" -- NFL 6-point teasers where both legs cross key numbers 3 and 7 -- have historically shown positive expected value. The extra points increase each leg's win probability more than the reduced payout accounts for.
What is a Wong teaser?
Named after Stanford Wong, a Wong teaser is a 2-team 6-point NFL teaser where both legs cross the key numbers 3 and 7 -- the two most common NFL margins of victory. For example, teasing a 3-point favorite to +3 or a 7.5-point underdog to +13.5. Historically this strategy has shown a positive edge.
How many legs should I include in a teaser?
Two-leg teasers offer the best value because each additional leg multiplies the required win probability. A 2-team 6-point NFL teaser at -110 requires each leg to win about 72.4% of the time. Three-leg teasers require roughly 77%, which is harder to achieve even with good spreads.
